    This aqua green silk saree is an authentic handloom pattu saree, hand-woven in Thirubuvanam from 100% pure mulberry silk and certified with the Silk Mark label. Handcrafted by master Thirubuvanam weavers, each saree takes 10 to 15 days of careful manual labor on traditional wooden looms. Every single thread, from the soothing aqua green body to the grand pink pallu, is crafted by hand without machines. This slow, traditional weaving method gives the silk a rich shine, high durability, and a smooth feel, making it a perfect pure silk saree for weddings and special events.

    Design Details:

    • Body & Buttas: The clear aqua green base features gold zari peacock (Mayil) motifs, each one woven into the fabric by hand.

    • Border: A bright pink border styled with classic geometric diamond patterns and simple zigzag lines.

    • Pallu: A big pink pallu highlighted with a large hand-woven peacock design and detailed gold thread work.

    A fine example of slow handloom weaving, blending cool aqua green with bold pink for weddings and special occasions.

    The Weaving Technique:

    The classic handloom weaving method used to join contrasting borders and pallu is known as the traditional Korvai technique. Two skilled weavers sit at opposite ends of the loom, manually throwing the shuttles back and forth to interlock the aqua green body with the rich pink border. Because every peacock motif is individually hand-woven and the Korvai joint requires double the manual labor, a genuine handloom Korvai silk saree takes 10 to 15 days to complete, making it far more valuable and durable than a simple machine-made saree.
